Gravity Forms PayPal Payments Standard Add-On v1.5 Released
By Carl Hancock Published June 5, 2012Gravity Forms PayPal Payments Standard Add-On v1.5 is now available via automatic update. This new release adds new features and capabilities, while also resolving some minor issues. As with all WordPress related updates, we highly recommend users of the PayPal Payments Standard Add-On update to the latest release.
The major feature that has been added is support for negative line items as discounts in your PayPal transactions. Gravity Forms will now consolidate all Pricing Fields that consist of a negative price into a single value, and pass that value to PayPal as a single discount. This allows discounts to be applied simply by adding (or calculating) a Pricing Field that has a negative price.
As with Gravity Forms itself, the condition option now supports enhanced conditional logic options. The PayPal Condition can now used more advanced operators such as greater than, less than, contains, starts with and ends with and now supports a larger number of field types when configuring the condition.
The final new feature is the ability to manually update the payment status of an entry involved in a PayPal transaction. If for whatever reason PayPal IPN was unable to communicate to your site to mark an entry as approved, you can now do so manually be updating the entry. Updating the entry and marking it as approved manually will still trigger any functionality dependent upon payment being received such as email notifications, user registration, post creation, etc.
