About the Gravity Forms Polls Add-On
If you’d like to get feedback from your visitors and increase engagement at your site, the Polls Add-On for Gravity Forms can facilitate this.
Once installed, the poll field will be available in the form builder, enabling you to start creating online polls.
Poll responses and results can be private or alternatively, you can display them on your site. One option is to display the results of the poll to users once they’ve submitted their answers. Displaying them before a poll has been submitted is also an option, as is including a link that visitors can click to see the results.
When creating the poll, you can add multiple poll fields to a form. You can also choose to randomize the order of the choices and whether or not to include an “other” choice. Making the poll question a required field is an option, too.
As well as the individual poll-field settings, there are also form-level settings. These settings control whether the results are displayed after submission and whether or not to display counts and percentages as part of the results.
Blocking repeat voting is possible as well, and if enabled, you can set a time limit on when the repeat vote blocking cookie expires.
Like the other types of forms you can create with Gravity Forms, you can view, delete, and export the poll form entries in your WordPress dashboard.
Overview of the Gravity Forms Polls Add-On
Here’s a quick rundown of the main functionality of this add-on:
- Add One or More Poll Fields to a Form – Create polls with a single question or build multi-question polls.
- Result Display Options – Display poll results before or after a poll entry has been submitted. Include a link to the results in the poll form so visitors can decide whether or not to view the results.
- Display Counts and Percentages – Choose whether or not to display poll response counts and/or percentages.
- Block Repeat Voting – Use cookies, with or without expiration dates, to block repeat voting. Alternatively, allow repeat voting.
- Polls Entry Management – Easily view, delete, and export poll form entries in the WordPress dashboard.
