New Gravity Forms Feature and Easter Egg Contest Winner!

Carl Hancock By Carl Hancock Published August 8, 2013

We have a winner! Gravity Forms user Andrew Bloom of Scottidesign was the first to correctly point out what the new undocumented “easter egg” feature introduced in the Gravity Forms v1.7.7 release was: Enhanced Entry Select All Functionality. Want to learn more about this new feature? Read on!

Gravity Forms Bulk Entry Selection

Up until this point when selecting entrys on the Entries list page, clicking the checkbox in the header of the table of entries would Select All but only for that page of results. If you had multiple pages of entries it would not select ALL of the entries across ALL pages. This is no longer the case

Inspired directly from functionality that I love and use often in GMail, we have introduced a feature that gives you the option to truly select all entries across all pages of entries. You cant hen apply bulk actions to ALL of those entries. It works with all of the bulk actions as well as the entry search functionality.

Gravity Forms Clear Entry Selections

After selecting all entries you also have the option to clear your selection if you have made a mistake and do not truly want to select ALL entries across all pages of results.

We have plans to further enhance the entry search functionality so this new functionality is going to become even more useful as we roll out new features.

Here is a little bit of information on Andrew, Scottidesign and why they use Gravity Forms:

I work for Scottidesign, a small firm that handles web design and internet marketing for over 100 clients.

We use Gravity Forms for almost all of our WordPress websites and enjoy the flexibility, add-ons, and support Gravity Forms provides.

Simple contact forms, online ordering systems via PayPal, member registration, application forms, and almost anything else. Gravity Forms handles it, simply and easily.

We absolutely love Gravity Forms and plan to use it in the future, so its great that you guys have a roadmap and are constantly updating and making improvements.

Congrats to Andrew and thanks to the others who submitted guesses!

Just over 10 minutes after Andrew’s comment another Gravity Forms user correctly pointed out the new feature. We have gone ahead and extended his license key for an additional 6 months as a consolation to being so close to being the first to get it right.

We enjoyed this contest and will probably make it something we do with each Gravity Forms feature release going forward. Cheers!
