Intern Program —
Join the Rocketgenius Summer 2025 Intern Program!
We’re looking for creative, driven individuals to join our fully remote Summer 2025 Intern Engineer Program on our Engineering team. This is your chance to dive into real-world projects, learn from top engineers, and get paid for it—all while working from the comfort of your own space. **Limited to US residents only.**
What You’ll Need/Learn:
- A solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and PHP (JavaScript & React are a big bonus)
- Experience with GitHub and basic command-line tools
- A computer for completing the pre-start training courses (Don’t worry, we’ll provide a laptop for the internship itself!)
- A passion for problem-solving and teamwork 🧠🤝
Pre-start Coursework:
To ensure you’re set up for success, you’ll need to complete the following courses by May 1st, 2025:
Codecademy:
- Learn HTML (6 Lessons)
- Learn CSS (8 Lessons)
- Build a Website with HTML, CSS, and GitHub Pages
LinkedIn Learning (Free trial available):
- Using Gravity Forms in WordPress
- WordPress: Custom Post Types & Taxonomies
- WordPress: WP-CLI
- WordPress: Actions and Filter Hooks
- WordPress: Advanced Custom Fields
- WordPress: Plugin Development
- PHP for WordPress
You can access LinkedIn Learning with a free trial, through your college/university email, or even through your local library card!
How It Works:
- Apply early – Applications are due by April 1st, 2025, but spots may fill up before the final deadline. You can/should apply before completing the course work. The sooner you apply, the better your chances.
- Get support – Everyone who applies will be assigned a mentor to help guide them through the coursework and answer questions.
- Join monthly Q&As – Early applicants can attend live Q&A sessions to get help, ask questions, and be better prepared for day one.
- Complete the pre-work – Work through the required courses by May 1st, 2025 with support from your mentor and Q&A sessions.
- Final selection – Admission to the program will be based on your progress, the work you submit, and a final interview.
- Final cutoff – The last chance to be considered is April 1st, 2025, but we may close applications earlier once we’ve selected enough candidates—so don’t wait!
- Internship Duration: June – August 2025
