Brand New Release: Geolocation Add-On 1.4
By Gravity Forms Published December 19, 2024We’re pleased to announce an update for the Gravity Forms Geolocation Add-On. Version 1.4 contains several fixes, including…
- Fixed code placement to be consistent with the WordPress coding standards.
- Fixed an issue where the longitude input is populated with the latitude value.
Add Address Autocomplete and Location Data Capture To Your Forms
The Gravity Forms Geolocation Add-On makes it easy to collect location data with form entry submissions automatically. The add-on also gives you a way to improve the user experience by enabling address autocomplete for your forms.
View Geolocation Data
Enabling the Geolocation Add-On makes it possible to record and store location data for each form entry that’s submitted on your site. The form user’s longitude and latitude are captured, giving you a way to view address or location information when a form entry is submitted.
To make this information more meaningful, you can view a Google map in the WordPress dashboard for each form entry. Thanks to this, you’ll be able to see where your form users are located.
Address Autocomplete
Another useful feature of the Geolocation Add-On is the address autocomplete functionality. If you choose to enable this feature, users should find entering their addresses into your forms more convenient, which should have a positive impact on form abandonment rates.
The Gravity Forms documentation has more information on using the Geolocation Add-On.
