Gravity Forms 2.7 Beta
Alongside Gravity Forms 2.6.6, this week has also seen the release of Gravity Forms 2.7 beta 1. Packed full of new features, we are calling on the Gravity Forms community to install and test the beta in a sandbox environment, and share any feedback that you may have.
Here’s just a bit of what you can expect with Gravity Forms 2.7…
- A New Built-In Template Library – 2.7 brings a new built-in form template library to Gravity Forms! Our premade, fully-customizable form templates will help you get started in minutes, or can be used as a jumping off point for more complex form builds. Choose from a selection of quick-start templates, including basic contact or newsletter signup forms, or opt for any of the more advanced templates that utilize our extensive collection of add-ons, such as user registration, payment, or donation forms.
- Orbital Form Theme and Block Styling Options – Styling your forms just got easier with a new form theme framework and block styling options. 2.7 ships with a new form theme – named Orbital – which paves the way for simpler customization of form appearance. With Orbital, you’ll find built-in block styling options, allowing you to tweak the color scheme of your form, alter the size of inputs, modify button styles, and much more, all from within the block editor and no CSS needed!
- A Redesigned Setup Wizard – The Setup Wizard has been redesigned from the ground up to ensure a user-friendly experience that will quickly help new customers get up and running. And if you’re a seasoned customer in a hurry, we know you’ll appreciate the faster setup times!
- Honeypot Field Enhancements – As part of 2.7, we have continued to enhance our anti-spam toolkit by adding a more sophisticated honeypot mechanism to Gravity Forms. In addition to the traditional honeypot spam protection method, JavaScript will now be used to inject another honeypot field into the form right before it is submitted, helping to identify and reduce the number of spam entries.
