Have You Tried Gravity Forms 2.9 Beta?

Gravity Forms 2.9 beta is now available to test!

Your feedback and questions help us to identify and make the necessary changes and improvements before the final release of 2.9. What’s Coming in Gravity Forms 2.9?

If you install the 2.9 beta 2, you can try out the new additions to Gravity Forms, which include:

Image Choice Field

You can now add images to choices via the new Image Choice field. Images are added via the Media Library, so no HTML markup is required. The Image Choice field is a great way to display images to help user visualization or use icons and images to decorate your forms and simplify their instructions.

The field can be configured to accept single or multiple selections, with the ability to request an exact number of selections or a range. You can also customize how the images are displayed in the form through the Block editor.

The Image Choice field documentation has more information on how this new feature works.

Multiple Choice Field

The new Multiple Choice field lets you add fields to your forms that accept either single or multiple selections. It’s a hybrid of the existing Checkboxes and Radio Buttons fields.

When editing the field, you can configure it so that users can either make one selection or multiple. Radio buttons will be used if you set it so that users can only make one selection. If you want multiple selections, checkboxes will be used.

Unlike the existing Checkboxes and Radio Buttons fields, choices can be reordered, deleted, or added without affecting previous form entries.

For more information, check out the Multiple Choice field documentation.

Orbital in the Form Editor

With 2.9, the stylish Orbital form theme is now available in the form editor.

Thanks to this, you’ll get a more consistent experience when editing your forms, as they’ll closely mirror how they’ll look when published.

Editor Accessibility Improvements

The accessibility of the form editor has been improved. This means those who rely on keyboard navigation and screen readers will now find it easier to navigate the field settings.

Check out our documentation site for more information on the key features of Gravity Forms 2.9.
