Brand New Release-Gravity Forms 2.8.5

We’re pleased to announce the release of Gravity Forms 2.8.5. The latest version of our plugin contains a number of updates and fixes, including…

  • Added security enhancements.
  • Fixed the gform_required_legend filter to that the $form parameter is passed correctly.

Gravity SMTP Coming Soon!

The Gravity team is working on a new plugin, Gravity SMTP, which is now available as an RC 4.

This plugin enables you to reliably send and track emails from your WordPress website — something anyone sending form entry notifications from their site via email will appreciate.

To give you plenty of options, Gravity SMTP works with numerous trusted email service providers, including Google Workspace, SendGrid, Brevo, Postmark, and Mailgun, with more to come.

The plugin also has mail logging that lets you track messages sent from your site, all from your WordPress dashboard.

Once you’ve set up the plugin and connected to an email provider, you can test the email sending abilities of your site for peace of mind.

Test Gravity SMTP RC 4 Today!

As this is a release candidate, we do not recommend Gravity SMTP RC for use on production sites. You should only install and test the RC in a sandbox environment.

Alternatively, you can try the Gravity SMTP online demo today.

For those who would like to try Gravity SMTP RC in their sandbox environment, you can download the plugin from your Gravity Forms Account.

The plugin can be found in the Pre-Release section of your account dashboard under Your Downloads.

(Note: Once out of the beta period, Gravity SMTP will be available with the Elite license. However, while in beta/RC, this plugin can be installed by anyone with an active Gravity Forms license).

You can find more information on installing and testing this plugin in the Gravity SMTP RC blog post.

Update to Gravity Forms 2.8.5 Today

Gravity Forms 2.8.5 is now available for download and installation. You can update to the latest version of the plugin from your WordPress Admin or by downloading it from your Gravity Forms account dashboard.

If you’re not yet using Gravity Forms, you can purchase a license to get access to version 2.8.5 today.

Another option is signing up for our free Gravity Forms demo. This lets you try out the plugin, experience the newest features, including Compact View, and see just how easy it is to create your own forms.

The demo also lets you customize the many pre-built form templates included with the plugin and gives you access to all of the Gravity Forms Add-Ons.
