Square Add-On v1.4 Release: Subscriptions, Refunds, and More…

We are delighted to announce an exciting update to our Square Add-On. With the release of v1.4 you will find a number of new features including support for subscriptions, refunds, and authorize and capture.
- Added support for subscriptions.
- Added support for refunding a payment from the entry detail page.
- Added support for card authorization and subsequent payment capture via the entry details page.
What’s New with Square v1.4?
With the Gravity Forms Square Add-On, users have always been able to easily accept payments directly on their WordPress website, automatically capturing credit card payments when a form is submitted.
Now, with the release of Square v1.4, as well as processing one-off payments you can also set up subscriptions, authorize a payment on a customer’s card but not capture that payment until a later date, and even refund a payment – all from within Gravity Forms Entries in your WordPress dashboard.

- Subscriptions – With support for subscriptions, you can now use the Gravity Forms Square Add-On to set up recurring monthly payments from your customers or clients. Ideal for membership sites, non-profits wanting to accept recurring donations, or businesses that charge a monthly retainer for services, this feature is a must have for many.
- Authorize and Capture – By enabling authorize and capture within your form settings, Square will allow you to authorize a payment without actually withdrawing the funds from a customer’s account until you approve it. This can be a great option for eCommerce stores that may not want to take a payment until they are ready to ship the products or businesses who need to take deposits from their customers.
- Refunds – The release of Square v1.4 also sees support for refunds from within your WordPress dashboard. Any form entries which have a status of Paid will display a Refund button, which once clicked, will refund the payment and update the entry as necessary. The refund feature not only makes it easy for businesses to quickly refund a customer, it consequently ensures fast refunds and an extremely user-friendly service.
