Gravity Forms Gutenberg Add-On v1.0 Beta 3 Released
By Travis Lopes Published February 26, 2018Gravity Forms Gutenberg v1.0 Beta 3 is now available on the Downloads page.
This release provides a new MailChimp block for the upcoming overhaul of the WordPress post editor (codenamed Gutenberg). The block lets you easily insert a MailChimp newsletter signup form into a page or post, without having to create a Gravity Forms form.
MailChimp Add-On 4.2.6, also released today, is required to use the MailChimp block and can be downloaded from the Downloads page.
MailChimp Block
With the MailChimp block, you have the ability to disable the Name field, disable Double Opt-In, set the visual orientation to horizontal or vertical and provides customization of the submit button text and confirmation text. All those settings are used to generate a custom Gravity Forms form each time the block is displayed. You’ll never see it in your Forms list!
If you have not authenticated with MailChimp prior to using the MailChimp block, you will be asked to enter your API key, which will be validated with MailChimp.
Coming Soon
The MailChimp block is just the beginning. In our next major Gutenberg Add-On update, we’ll be introducing blocks for the rest of the email marketing services we support: ActiveCampaign, AWeber, Campaign Monitor, CleverReach, Emma, GetResponse, iContact and Mad Mimi.
GitHub Repository
As part of our ongoing commitment to Gutenberg, we have released a public GitHub repository containing the development version of our Gutenberg Add-On. We hope this will be a helpful resource for developers learning how to build more complex blocks. This repository will be updated every time a new Gutenberg Add-On beta build is released.
