Customizing the Retention Policy for Your Forms

By default, Gravity Forms retains form entries indefinitely, however the retention policy for your forms can be easily customized.

From within your WordPress dashboard, head to the settings page for the form which you’d like to customize the retention policy and select Personal Data.

From here, you can modify the Retention Policy for this form.

You have the option to select whether or not you would like to trash entries automatically or permanently delete them.

Trashed entries will be stored in a trash folder and can be restored if needed, however permanently deleted entries cannot be restored.

When trashing or permanently deleting entries, you have the option to set the number of days to retain entries before either action takes place.

For instance, I can set my form entries for my Newsletter Signup Form to be trashed after 90 days.

Please note that form entries will automatically be trashed or deleted during the next daily cron task if they are older than the number of days specified.

Also note that form entries need to be saved for at least one day to ensure all entry processing is completed before deleting or trashing.

All I will need to do now is save my changes and I will be good to go.
